Trying out New Stuff and Progress Update

So I changed the theme on my website I wanted it to feel more like a notebook or a work in progress as it’s a way to display my worldbuilding, which is also a work in progress. I like it so far. I think it’s a lot better than what it was before. Let me know what you think!

I’ve been making progress on the latest short story, which has the working title “They Lurk in the Trees”. It’s going to be horror themed and I’ve written about 2 pages in the last week. I know that doesn’t sound like a lot to some, but I think it’s good progress. I am a hobbyist and writing, though a passion, is but one hobby of a few. I’ve also been feeling more tired lately. By the time 8pm rolls around I’m so drained from the day that it makes it hard to find the motivation or energy to focus and write. But two pages is progress, and that is a win I should embrace.

One thing I’ve been wanting to add to the site is sketches/artwork. I think it would liven the website up and give much needed visuals. But I’m not the best artist and coupled with the issues previously mentioned, it’s been a long process. But I will have some up on the site in the future.

I also tried out a map making site to see if I could use it to improve the one I already made. It worked until I hit the pay wall and with things as they are (If you read my previous post you’ll know), I wasn’t willing to pay. So I will have to make it myself. That means digging out the old drawing pad and getting to work.

Spring is a time for new beginnings and renewal. Hopefully I can make the most of this spring season and apply myself more to my passion and make something substantial to show you all.
